This policy explains how Nestoa uses personal information when you browse, create an account, advertise, apply, message or request support. We aim to use only the information needed to operate and protect the service.
Account Information
We use information such as your name, email address, phone number, account role, profile preferences and sign-in provider. Authentication credentials are handled through our authentication service and are not displayed publicly.
Property Listing Information
Advertisers may provide descriptions, prices, availability, amenities, photographs and location information. Public listings use an approximate area. Exact addresses and private coordinates are stored separately and are not included in the public listing response.
Messages and Communications
We process messages, applications, viewing requests, reports and support enquiries so the intended participants or authorised reviewers can use them. Access controls are designed to prevent unrelated users from reading private conversations.
Business Enquiries
A business or partnership enquiry may include an organisation name, contact name, work email, telephone number, website, service area, portfolio range and the information submitted in the message. Nestoa uses this information to review and respond to the enquiry, discuss a possible pilot and keep an appropriate record of the business conversation. Public visitors cannot read the private enquiry queue.
Location Data
Nestoa uses the locations you search for and the approximate location attached to a listing. Exact property location is treated as private listing information and is shared only when there is an appropriate reason and permission to do so.
Device and Usage Information
We may process basic browser, device, session, error and property-view information needed for security, reliability, fraud prevention and service performance. We do not claim to collect information that is not enabled in the current service.
Verification Information
If you request verification, Nestoa may process the details and evidence needed for that review. Public pages show only the resulting status or badge, not private verification documents.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide accounts and listings, return search results, support messaging and applications, remember preferences, moderate content, respond to requests, protect the service and meet legal obligations.
Legal Bases
Depending on the activity, we process information to perform our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, protect vital interests, or act on consent. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Fraud Prevention
Reports, account activity and relevant verification signals may be reviewed to detect scams, abuse, unauthorised access or other conduct that could harm users or the service.
Service Improvement
We may analyse aggregated or limited usage information to diagnose errors, improve navigation and understand which features need attention. Optional analytics will not be treated as essential where consent is legally required.
Legal Obligations
Information may be used or preserved when reasonably necessary to comply with Irish or EU law, respond to a valid legal request, establish legal claims or protect people from serious harm.
Sharing of Information
Information is shared with other users only as required for the feature you choose, such as publishing a listing or sending a message. We may also share limited information with service providers, professional advisers or authorities where there is a valid purpose and legal basis. We do not sell personal information.
Service Providers
Nestoa relies on providers for hosting, authentication, storage, maps and other operational services. They may process information only for the service they provide and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
Local Partners
Partner offers may be shown based on a general area. Nestoa does not send your contact information to a local partner unless you choose to contact that partner or otherwise authorise the sharing.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the account or feature, for safety and dispute handling, and for any legal retention period. Retention can differ by information type and deletion requests may be limited where law or legitimate claims require preservation.
Security
We use access controls, restricted private data, authentication and monitoring intended to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security, so users should also protect their account and report suspicious access.
Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection and may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or another competent authority.
Account Deletion
You can request account deletion through your account settings or the Privacy request option in the Safety Centre. We will explain if limited information must be retained for legal, safety, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.
Cookies
Essential session storage and similar technologies keep sign-in and security features working. Optional technologies, if introduced, will be described in the Cookie Policy and controlled where consent is required.
International Users
Nestoa currently serves Ireland but may use service providers operating in other countries. Where personal information is transferred internationally, Nestoa will use a recognised legal mechanism when required.
Children
Nestoa is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed.
